Forced Perspective on my own

I took these with my family over the weekend in Canada, I really like the one that looks like my mom is stepping over the city.

Forced Perspective - Haley Ramsey and Jamie Quilalang

1. The shoes one because the feet look much large than they actually are.
2. The shoes one is also the most interesting because it looks so believable and it's funny.
3. Getting things in the right place because they have to be so precise was difficult.

Product Advertising

1. I used a Hydro Flask bottle because I love mine and I think it's a great product.
2. my big idea was incorporating the bottle into nature because it has so many uses, one of which being a durable bottle for outdoor activities.
3. I wanted to use a photo with a lot of blues because the bottle was a cool blue shade.

Still Life

(iPhone image)

1. My still life represents variety and little pops of color and happiness in life.
2. The lighting in the image is direct lighting.
3. In the image with the iPhone I could've improved the lighting to try to avoid so much glare.

Multi-Burst

1. My favorite part of the image is how you can see each step of the action, and also Jamie's faces.
2. The most difficult part was trying to arrange the photos so that they looked normal overlapping.
3. The easiest part was taking the photos because on the iPhone you can just use burst mode which is very simple.

Photographing Water

 Station 1
1. Yes it was pretty easy to get a good shot because we just took a lot of shots while dropping the water and it gave us some good images.
2. I like shooting with flash because the images turned out well but you can't shoot as rapidly with flash.

Station 2 (I liked both of these)
1. Yes it was easy to get a good shot because the colored water really popped and made for a cool image every time, also the colors slowly get incorporated into the water so you have time to take good shots.
2. I liked shooting without flash because we could take the shots quicker and get more interesting images.

 Station 3
1. No, it was pretty hard to get a good shot because of the lighting and the phone quality is not very good.
2. I didn't like shooting water with the burst mode because it was very difficult to get an image with good lighting where you can actually see the drops.

 Station 4
1. No, because the lighting again was not ideal and the angles were awkward.
2. We had to get the image from a different angle because of the reflections and awkward lighting when shooting straight on.

Artificial Motion

I think the image looks real because it isn't overly blurred but it still looks like there is some motion.

Green Screen

Original Green Screen

End Product (Composite)

1. The most difficult part of the project was making the lighting look right when taking the photos with the green screen.
2. I like how it is an unrealistic situation but it looks real.
3. I think that I could make the lighting of the two photos more similar to make it look more realistic.

Surreal Photography

1. I used the brush tool the most in photoshop.
2. I think the best part of the composition is the proportions, but they could be better.
3. It was kind of difficult to combine multiple layers because of the different lightings and colors of the images.
4. I could have blended them better and probably adjusted more to make it look more realistic.

Landscape in a Bottle

1. I learned how to blend images together, how a clipping mask works and how to use some of the adjustment layers better like levels and hue/saturation.
2. My final file has 33 layers.
3. I liked this assignment because it was really interesting to see how these images that are used for advertising are created and how many steps it takes to make it.

Speed Challenge Quiz

1. What I like about his landscape images
          1. The balance of the images, reflections
          2. Each image had good lighting
          3. They each portray a real part of nature, and were well planned out.

1. I like the vibrant colors of my image.
2. I think my shot is amazing because it has cool concept with the tree "in" the sky and the point of view of the image.
3. I used a few color adjustments on photoshop such as changing the vibrance, hue/saturation and color mixer.
4. I liked the challenge because in order to get a nice shot at school you really have to look around and think out of the box.
5. One element of art that is used would be color or value, one principle of design would be contrast.

Macro Lens Abstracted Images

Image 1
 Image 1-filtered

Image 2
Image 2-filtered
Image 3
Image 3-filtered

1. My favorite image is image 3 because of the vibrant color and balance of the flower.
2. The image with the best use of the elements of art is image 2 (line, value, color, texture).
3. My favorite image(3) includes balance, pattern, harmony and emphasis.
4. My favorite image and filter combination is also image 3 because I like how it is somewhat abstracted but you can still tell what it is and it looks as if it was painted.

Exploring Landscapes 2

 Image 1
 Image 2
Image 3

1. For image 3 I used rule of thirds and emphasized the sky more by placing the horizon lower than the center.
2. I used emphasis, proportion and movement by capturing the road.
3. The image was taken around 3 in the afternoon, I think it was a good time to shoot because although the sky was a bit cloudy there was still some sun behind the clouds that brightened the sky just a little.
4. I used the foreground/background relationship by capturing the road and the proportion of the road from foreground to background.

Burned Edges

Channel Mixer

Desaturation Method

Gradient Map

Lab Color Method

1. I think that the Gradient Map method turned out the best because of the large value range.
2. I think that each image has a pretty large value range, least being the Lab Color Method and the best being Channel Mixer and Gradient Map methods.
